| The plan called for late-model running gear, with all of the niceties, air conditioning, ABS brakes including discs all around, power steering, coil spring suspension front and rear and V8 power with fuel injection. So the hunt began for a 2000+ GM four wheel drive platform. The preference was a Tahoe or Yukon and accept the compromise of the rather odd independent front suspension with torsion bars... |

| After taking the GM blinders off following some research....Ford, surprisingly, make the ideal platform with no need to change front or rear suspension, AND it has a three hundred brake horse power V8, from the factory. "Ahhhh", said Baby Bear - "just right". |

Off came the 2006 Expedition body leaving the important bits only, floor, bulkhead/firewall and inner fender panels...
