Well..........it started with a passion for the Jeep Honcho full size pickups of the late seventies and early eighties. These were THE towing vehicle of choice for the offshore powerboat group of those heady days.
They were compromised, in my humble opinion, by having too long a bed, it just needed shortening, but what would be the chances of finding one.... |

....and there it was, a 1967 Jeep Gladiator, with only sixty thousand miles, sitting proudly on a full size Chevrolet Blazer frame of eighties vintage - perfect for the GM/Jeep formula to make a Hummer/Honcho mix - or "Humcho".

With all of the front panels removed, access was gained to cut out the original floor and firewall, these to be replaced with 2006 sheetmetal. The remainder of the body is still remarkably solid.
